The Queen tries to read as her three terriers bark and pull at a cushion; Penguin waits beside her.

Queen

Would you take them out, War Penguin? They’ve been quite impossible this morning.

The footman opens the garden door and cautions Penguin as the three dogs run in different directions.

Footman

They don’t always take kindly to instructions, sir.

In the royal woods, an enormous snarling wolf confronts Penguin while the three terriers hide behind him.

Back at the palace the Queen looks up at Penguin and her three orderly dogs, before the wolf is revealed.

Queen

There you are. I trust they weren’t too troublesome?

An enormous grey wolf follows politely into the palace; the footman freezes and the Queen studies it.

The Queen offers her gloved hand for the wolf to sniff while the footman keeps his distance.

Queen

Oh, you handsome creature. Have we a basket for him?

The wolf sits squeezed into a tiny embroidered dog basket; the three terriers sleep beside him, the Queen reads and the footman stands empty-handed with his hands clasped.
